UIL Saturday.

Today was UIL for our school. We hosted it so everyone had jobs and tensions were high. My event that I was contest director of started at 9 so I had to be there at 8:30 am. Grading lasted from 10 until 12:50! I was exhausted! I am so glad that it is over though. They had Mexican food (my favorite) catered in the library for all the UIL coaches and staff involved. I was starving by 1 pm but made myself walk straight out to my car. As I drove home I was proud for passing it up but all I could think of was all the cookies and yummy Mexican food I passed up! Maybe it wasn't that good...sure. I came home and made a salad. I am happy I stayed strong. I knew I had to pass because yesterday wasn't great. Didn't eat great at lunch and dinner was a heavy, but delicious, Italian meal at a favorite restaurant. Way too many carbs last night. It was so worth it but I didn't want to take two days and sabatoge my plans completely. One was enough!

I got in my T25 cardio workout shortly after my lunch settled. My husband got me a new battery for the transmitter on my heart rate monitor this morning and I was excited to try it and see if it worked. It did! Finally! Took me over a year probably to get both batteries in it switched out, but today it worked! I've got to say that spark people's estimate was only 6 calories under what my heart rate monitor said I burned. Pretty accurate. I have been tracking it as the high aerobic (such as p90x or insanity), but always wondered how accurate it was. Glad to see it was so close.

Tomorrow will be my double day. Two workouts.
