Hoping things are improving

Saturday, February 22, 2014

Once again I'm dashing through. I've added my food and exercise on a couple of days - but I've broken my streaks hook line and sinker!

DH is still not well, and my mother is poorly too. I'm struggling with a plateau, but am still doing my best. Stick with me, please, things can only get better. Today I'm starting a four week challenge to myself to break this plateau in spite of what is going on.

Off to wipe brow and offer tlc. It's needed, Sparkeroonies, so I have to do it. Prayers for DH and Mother if you fell up to it please. We'll get there.

In a similar position here, too. If you don't feel like keeping on programme, let yourself off the hook. When you feel a small pull to getting back on it, go for it.

Keeping you, your husband and your mother in my thoughts. emoticon

Hope everyone is feeling better soon. Please be careful not to push yourself too far on your challenge - if it doesn't happen due to you caring for others there will be other days.

Prayers are on the wing for you and DH and DM...
Give yourself a break and just work to maintain while eating healthy and exercising as you can.
Every so often our bodies seem to go into "reboot" time... finding and setting a new rhythm to live by..
Hugs, A.

Dear Friend I really would suggest you leave the challenge till later. Try to eat well and do some exercise if you can. Having a a plateau busting challenge needs a lot of concentration. Take it easy, care for your DH and Mom and really TAKE CARE of YOUR SELF, otherwise YOU might be needing a CAREGIVER,
HUGS take care and stay well. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

May I make a recommendation here, based on my own results: If you want to be a caretaker, be a caretaker. Do your best while being there for others that need you right now. When they are better go back focusing on your specific needs beyond what you have been doing.

Burn out, frustration, guilt ensue if you overload yourself my friend.

We are here on your side and giving the gift of faith and love to your loved ones and you in your time of need.

There's plenty of time when you have the energy to devote to yourself after the crisis's are over. For now BE with them.

I'll pray for your husband and your mom, and for you as well. I know it's hard to balance everything. But if you can, try to take a little walk each day to keep your head clear and your spirit refreshed.
