yoga is changing how I see myself

When practicing yoga, it can be helpful to look in the mirror and check your alignment.
There have been times over the last few weeks when I have looked at myself (probably during the Warrior series) and thought, "I'm strong."
I have even thought to myself (unbelievably), "I'm beautiful."
Let me be clear - this was not about positive affirmations. I wasn't telling myself that I am strong and beautiful. I was reacting to my reflection.
This is a miracle for me. I have spent so many years looking at myself as unworthy, even disgusting. For me to look at myself as beautiful, even for just a moment, is a gift. I wish I could bottle that feeling, put a bow on it and give it to each and every one of you every day before you get out of bed.
