Foods were measured and tracked!
Breakfast: 1 tsp. peanut butter and later a green smoothie: kiwi, 1/2 banana, almond breeze, nutritional yeast, fresh spinach
Lunch: turkey breast sandwich with nayonnaise and 1 oz swiss cheese
Snack: hummus , cooked carrots
Dinner: corned beef, cabbage, carrots, potatoes
Evening snack--non-fat Greek yogurt and an orange
The best part is that at 3:20 in the afternoon I am not sleepy .
All day I have been conscious of eating right and breathing more deeply and drinking water all day.
I have not had dinner nor the evening snack yet, of course.
Of course, it is not evening yet.
I know the day is not over yet. I know this day's food is a culmination of 5 years with SP friends and 2 years trying to use Dr. Fuhrman's Eat for Health philosophy.
To some, this might sound like something silly to be crowing about. For me it is a huge accomplishment. Just the fact that I had all these veggies available and was able to rather easily have a cooked , real meal has taken me 2 years of retirement to accomplish.
