Positive Thought For The Day~February 21, 2014

Friday, February 21, 2014

How many of us start this journey expecting to see results immediately and continue to see them each week? Yup, I see all those hands raised! Didn't happen that way did it! We would all love to see a couple pound drop each week at the scale or a dress size smaller. Progress is S L O W and sometimes when we don't see a drop in weight we think there is NO progress. That just isn't true. When we don't see a loss and we stick with our program we are STILL progressing. If we chuck it all in that's when we quit.....that's the point when we give up on ourselves. Check your measurements each month that is another indicator of progress. Go back over the past few weeks and see if you had been doing something different that you've stopped. Change 1 thing this week and see if that helps you push off that plateau, double check that sodium intake, walk a bit more, change up your exercise routine. No matter what the scale says if you are still sticking with your plan, moving that body, getting in your water and staying positive you are still making progress! Any week we don't slide back into old routines and old habits is PROGRESS! LOOK for the positive side of your plateau and work with it.....if you do progress is being made!
