update on things and weigh in at doctor's office

Thursday, February 20, 2014

I went to see my orthopedist for my feet since my plantar fasciitis was rearing its ugly head again. I am now on the last shot for one foot! emoticon Very worried this is not good news for me. He told me next time I will have to go in for surgery on my feet! No way in he double hockey sticks is that happening! Un uh no thank you. I don't want to be in a boot or cast not yet not for a while either. I am not in the mood for surgery not now not ever. Last surgery was for my gall bladder. That was enough for me. I am not a big fan of hospitals! Nor of surgery. I have been in hospitals enough. If I have to have surgery I think I will have a fit! I am not in the mood for more surgery. I need to be able to take care of myself and mom as well as Leah. I weighed at the Dr.'s office and weighed over 400 lbs. I am unsure where I stand weight wise. Mom's cast is off and she goes in for therapy twice a week for four weeks!

I'm with you on the surgery, although it sure would be nice for the pain to go away. I'll have to try some of those websites that were suggested. Hope they work for you as well.

There are ways to heal it. Without the surgery. Stretches, rolling a frozen water bottle, doing stairs - they all helped my DH's PF heal.

Have you looked on-line for other ways to deal with the plantar fasciitis and see if there is not something that does not require surgery for it.

Here is what WebMD says http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/
