No Weight Loss

Thursday, February 20, 2014

So, I've been re-planning (using the SP goal sheet). I just noticed that for weeks 2,3 & 4 of the 5% Challenge, I have had many LOW calorie days. I think that may be why my weight loss has stalled. A couple of months ago when I started calorie cycling, it helped me lose weight. It seems so strange to me that I have to eat more to lose weight!!
So for this week, week 5, I have a better range of calories done/planned. I will also try to keep it up for the final 3 weeks of the challenge.
It really is important to me to meet my 5% goal. I get so frustrated when I feel like I'm doing all the right things (eating low calorie, exercising a lot, drinking my water, getting rest, eating veggies, ect) and don't see ANY weight loss!!
This week I should be starting my cycle so I understand some of my body's resistance to weight loss. But ...
So, at least I have some motivation & umph to finish up the challenge!
Best of luck to all 5%-ers!!

AMEN, sister. I am trying not to be discouraged. I had a great start, 5 lbs down, and then--gained one back and am stuck stuck stuck. I'm working hard, upped my fitness min, am eating well most of the time, and my scale won't budge.

The only thing I can think of is that muscle weighs more than fat, and I know my muscles are in much better shape since upping workouts. I really want to make my Winter 5% challenge goal, but even if I don't, I know I've given it some real effort, I've lost some, and my health habits are more firmly established. Still, we want the scale to reflect our hard work.

I found that eating at the high end of my range helps me loose weight. I have been lifting weights for three weeks and I finally got my bike out of storage. I ride my bike at least 30 minute when I get home from work. Wish I could ride my bike a long distance but the roads are dangerous.

You will find your path to weight loss and what works for you. Just keep going forward one day at a time.
