Well I haven't had the dramatic weight loss but that partly may be because I've gained more muscle since I've been running/walking/or practicing yoga 4 or 5 days a week. My clothes fit looser so that's a plus. My inflammation is way down and it's been nice to be able to run a little again. 3 more days and the cycle one is up. I was hoping that the inflammation would disappear completely but I still have a little in my shoulder. Another bonus has been that for the first time in many many years, I had a menstrual cycle with no cramps! The most amazing thing that I've experienced though is the fact that I haven't had a migraine headache in a month! I've even been able to eat migraine no no's like avocados and raspberries with no headache. I've also given up caffeine but the that is not something you need to give up according to J.J. Virgin but I know that has helped tremendously with my headaches. I did cheat a little on Valentine's day and I ate some Green & blacks organic dark chocolate.
Next monday I start the cycle 2 where I try to reintroduce some of the foods I've omitted and see how my body reacts. The first one I'll be trying will be wheat. I try it for one meal a day for 4 days and then I go 3 days without wheat to assess how my body feels. If it's fine I can reintroduce the wheat. After that comes soy (I won't miss soy much if that one turns out to be not so good for my body). After that eggs, I do miss those! And after that my favorite ....dairy! I really miss cheese!
