Journey Back to Size 6- Week 7

Thursday, February 20, 2014

I'd say I can't believe it, but I can: I'm 171.6. Again.

I have, once again, done well this past week. My average caloric intake is about 1650, my workouts have been improving, and I got cardio in twice, which is the max amount suggested for the Strong Curves program I am following.

I am going to give the current program one more week before I make any changes to my calories or cardio since this is only my second week really doing things "right". However, during this week I will be thinking about what should change if the scale doesn't move again.

I do understand that my body needs time to kind-of "settle down", for lack of a better term, and accept that this is the way we are doing things right now and it's going to be Okay. That's why I'm sticking with it for another week.

On a slightly different note, I am going to take progress pics at the beginning of March, even if the scale and measurements haven't changed, because I am pretty sure I see some changes in my body. Comparing photos from the beginning will give me a chance to see if I am right or if it's just in my head. But I'm thinking my butt is a little higher and tighter, and my over all symmetry is improved.

This can't really be described as a plateau. A plateau typically occurs after 4 weeks of staying the same despite doing the right things. I am at the two week mark, so not in plateau-land yet.

So, continuing to march on, even if it does feel like it's in more of a circle than a strait line. But such is life, right? The important thing is that I don't give up and do what is best for my health.

And I WILL see size 6 again. Mark my words. emoticon

My oh my what are we going to do with you, lol. Just kidding. You seem to be doing all the things right. I know if you just keep persevering, you will get to your ultimate goal. I have lost weight and inches and then nothing at all for what seemed weeks, then magically, I started losing again. That's most likely where you are. Keep at it, my friend. You will get there.

Working hard takes time and time is what is needed to get attain your goals! Scales never seem to be friends to us when we are doing all the right things and they say something that you are not feeling is right.
I have had the same feelings and say what are you kidding! Than it comes to me almost at the same time, I am feeling better, moving better, cloths fit better! I just know I needed more time to attain my goals.
The end goal for me is how I did the week before and how I feel now and most of the time I know I tried and time is on my side since I am committed to my goals.
Strive hard and true and all will be accomplished! emoticon

    Sounds good...keep at it.

How are the clothes feeling? That's usually my best indicator of change, esp if the scale doesn't cooperate

I'm finding this go round with the weight loss much harder than it was 5 yrs. ago. Salt makes the scale go up much quicker than it used to and if I go off plan much at all I gain. This has been a slooow process. Like you, I'm not throwing in the towel!

Good job, hang in there! Those NSV's count for something; if you feel good and you see changes in your body, that's something!

YAY, do it! I'm getting my "cruise pounds off" right now. I had 10 days of no SP and no internet and put on 12.6 pounds.
