Day 48: Baggy pants.

Thursday, February 20, 2014

I like baggy pants.
Not the kind you see around town accompanied by views of plain or plaid boxers where the crotch of the pants is at knee level and the guys who wear them have to climb down to get their cell phones out of the pockets at their ankles.
Mine are the ones I know I have to take in soon because they have become loose.
The kind that when I bought them they were just right and now they are not.
Zipper without hesitation.
I also like tops that seem too big. They will be harder to take in.
Some I'll just give away or perhaps allow them to visit the dryer.
Being Mentally Tough on my habits will afford me a bit of a new wardrobe but that's ok.
It will be in time for spring and what girl doesn't like new spring clothes?

My only angst will be shoes.

I had some of my favorite skirts and jackets tailored when I lost my first 20 pounds and I'm glad that I did. I mourned when I gave away my collection of red blouses. I love red, it is rarely in style and I amassed many when it was in style for a couple of years. Fortunately, red dresses never go out of style and I have bought several of them since I lost weight. Definitely get your better clothes tailored, though. You can usually go down 2 sizes before it is time to buy new.

Hey, you need to start prepping for the shoes, because, guess what? Your shoes won't fit any more! I have dropped a couple of shoe sizes.
Oh my poor darling feet, all that extra work they had to do is over. My advice to you is, start cosseting those tootsies. Give them a rub, a pedicure, and what all. Because, they are going to loose weight too, and then you will need new shoes.

I have the Goldilocks syndrome, I want everything to fit just right. I can't stand baggy pants or lose pants and I usually have one of the other- I'm always in between sizes. And nothing makes me madder than having my pants fall down. I can't imagine how people stand that look.
