Polar vortex, smortex. How can I be MT when I'm so cold?

Wednesday, February 19, 2014

Wow day 47 and I have still kept my promise to myself.
This ice cream sits in the freezer, staring at me every time I open the door. The cheese curls and chips I can avoid.
I have had a few Hershey kisses(dark) as therapeutic and covered in my daily intake.
Breakfast is measured.
Lunch has been courtesy of my broken freezer. I have been making the strangest foods with what partially thawed, I'm the only one eating it.....this week it's spinach ravioli with a cauliflower topping. Not so tasty but the Scotts in me won't waste food.
Who knows what next week will bring. I still have lots of veggies...and chicken steamed Chinese buns. I think next week will be Chinese week. Lots of broccoli, hot peppers and cauliflower left.
The exercise track has been snow shoveling. Snow moving. Snow removal. Snow Pilates.
And now there is rumor of more next week.
I wish I could just put on my sneaks and walk in the neighborhood. No such luck with 4 ft high plow piles and barely any sidewalks shoveled.
My DDs friend, a 30 something young'in, was in the ER today after slipping on a poorly shoveled sidewalk facing surgery for a compound leg fracture!
Don't think this old lady is going out to play!

Good for you in eating the thawing remains. I'd grow tired very quickly.

I'm all polar votexed out. Our snow is gone now and storms are on the way. It's 59 and windy. I hope this is the end of it but cold weather is coming back.

Ice cream and chips bother me a lot. I'm better off not having them around.

So sorry your DD's friend is going through the pain & inconvenience, regardless of liability! Mother Nature seems to have some of that stuff headed my way tomorrow... workout dictated by conditions... that's why the flexibility in the training plan!

Good for you on sticking with it... day 47 is in the bag!

If a private sidewalk that should have been shovelled: possible occupier's liability. If a municipal sidewalk that should have been shovelled: ditto but probably a very tight limitations period (here literally within days) . . . so maybe DD's friend wishes to get some legal advice asap?

So we should add Snowvelling, Snowving and Snowlates to Sparkpeople tracker. I wonder if it's actually there. It counts as exercise. It's like walking; you have to do it. It is heavy lifting and walking. emoticon

I hope your DDs friends will be okay. emoticon
