Hmm streaking...
That was another time, another body.
I cannot begin to think of what would happen if I took off full force totally nude!

I have made it through more commitment to me. Still eating right and DH thought it odd that I counted my French fries. They were my oils and carbs for the day and made to be in my list of items. Yahoo. I'm really getting this. I can have my infrequent foods in moderation. Maybe I see fries once every 1-2 weeks then none for a month. So if they look just right, really crunchy, I make allowances.
I've learned to have a lower calorie breakfast and lower end lunch in case we do go out for dinner. If we don't then I might have a snack before bed. Most nights no and I'm fine with that.

You won't see much scale activity as I mine is cheap and doesn't stay true. So maybe I lost another pound or two, maybe I didn't. I'll worry about that when I go for a checkup. I like a big picture, not a day to day weight like some of you do.

    I savor my french fries now and everything else I eat as a treat. And only finish them if they are really good. No need to waste calories on soggy limp cold fries.

    Oh yay, you get to eat fries! I don't get to try them for four more weeks! I haven't had a potato ALL YEAR. My last potoato was last year!

    Streaking, yeah. My Lady Godiva moment is past, I'm pretty sure!!

Love your mental toughness. And for me French fries are only worth it when they're absolutely perfect: fresh cut, dark crispy brown, skins on, malt vinegar . . . mmmmmmmm. Not very often, thought. Because it's too tough to eat just a couple!

    Sounds like you are figuring out what works for you JUST FINE! Glad it amuses your DH... but clearly you have put your own health first... and so great that you can still work in a few things that are "treats"... nice, balance, big picture, however you put it.

And thanks for the "memories" / "visual"... streaking would not be pretty for me, either! emoticon

    I'm glad I saw this as I logged on. I'm not feeling the Mental Toughness Mojo and needed to hear from someone staying strong. I'll do my 10 minutes minimum ST before bed and call it a day.
