I'm at a loss for words right now. I brought Prince Harry to the vet yesterday and it was a less-than-stellar experience. I'll leave it at that.
There's not much they can do for him as he has feline herpes virus and his flare-ups are eye infections. So I have drops now and hoping like crazy that they help. This has been a battle for the last 5 years.
I'll be watching lots of how-to's on you tube to find out how I can get the L-lysine into him. I've got what is supposed to be yummy stuff that he will not swallow. I know there's a way to open his mouth (of course, w/o hurting him), but have to refresh my memory as to how to do it.
Meanwhile, he is miserable. Fortunately, he's eating, drinking, and other functioning well. But not sleeping too great. He was curled up next to me all night. His brother, William, is worried as well and acting out.
There is nothing they can do for HFV, so I'm hoping this isn't the beginning of the end. They are 10 years old, but pretty healthy otherwise. Even though it's highly contagious, Wills has not had any problems.
Since recently losing so many loved ones of the people variety, I find that by ability to handle stress is severely challenged. Unfortunately, I have turned to a little bit of sugar therapy even though I know better.
Wishing all a good day.
