Snow snow go awayyy...

Tuesday, February 18, 2014

Hi emoticons,

Well, I woke up this morning to crappy weather. Snowing sideways due to it being windy, it's around 25*F outside. I'm really done with winter. I love winter a lot, but only for the month of December, as it makes the Christmas feel all magical! But now, I'm ready for it to be DONE. LOL! I don't know how my older brother in Barrow, AK does it, but he has it worse off during the winter, hands down!

Anyway, I texted a few of my TOPS members (we are only 6 in our group -- Joanne, Kitty, Dree, Helen, Betty and myself) and asked if we should cancel, and Joanne thought it a good idea... and I did, too, because of Dree who lives 30 mins away, and they got more than we did as far as bad weather... so I really hate to cancel our meetings due to weather but I wanted everyone to be safe than sorry.

I did a lot of cleaning yesterday, and well, I'm taking it easy today. I need to catch up on reading Chapter 1 of Captivating, as our book club (meeting cancelled tonight) meets monthly to discuss it and watch a dvd. And I've had a month to read Ch 1... I'm sooo bad with procrastination. :( But I have time today so I will curl up on my recliner with a cup of tea and the book. :)

Hope you all are doing well. I'm going through SHERLOCK withdrawl so I keep watching the old episodes and looking on Pintrest for photos ;) haha :)

Have a fab day! emoticon

BLPRETTYGIRL1 -- I'm in Buffalo, NY and we are equipped for it, too. But this has been a very unusual winter compared to the past 4 years!!! LOL

THROOPER62 -- :) Great!

emoticon I live in Maine and snow is the norm here. But we have more than enough here too. Of course we have the equipment to handle it. Another storm is coming through this afternoon. TOPS will probably be cancelled tonight.

I am so over winter too. Heavier clothes, ice and snow, high heating bills. C'mon spring!

We've had our share of crappy weather here in SE Wisconsin as well.
(I've done enough shoveling for ten winters and there is no end in sight.)

Enjoy your tea and book (and Pinterest - I could spend a lot of time there, too!)
