Waiting at the Dockside

The Bon Voyage Party for my DH continues on...he is weaker, and his pulse is faster. His departure could be any time.

We are resting in the Lord...

1 Corinthians 15:54-57 When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I wish you well in all. It seems there is never a right thing to say, when life is like this.. Be grateful for who you are together, who he is as an individual (here's something that I wrote long ago, that I call True Love...perhaps it remotely fits your relationship...with humor in mind of course..
True Love
Did you ever really find that one, true, pure, beautiful love?
Or thought you had, but the years passed.
Found you sitting next to that old thing that looks
nearly as bad as you.
Then you think of the years-
who there to calm the other’s fears,
who excited over your smallest triumph,
tear, or pout at disappointments,
who to care when you were sick,
yet cranky when ya needed to get back up a bit,
who for your comfort when the folks passed on,
kids born, or just a wondrous dawn?
Oh thank God! You were right.
You really found that one, true, pure, beautiful love!

And remember, in all things, joy and supplication? Find the joy, live the love to the fullest. May God bless you....we are ever learning, and ever progressing in our faith journey.

The apostle Paul described it as the body falling asleep and then the soul going to the Lord until He returns for the Church. My husband is with Him now and one day either by rapture or death I will be with the Lord and my husband too. emoticon emoticon

May God continue to keep you in His arms as He helps your DH into His ever lasting world where he will be waiting. My thoughts & prayers are continuing with you and your DH. The words in Corinthians are beautiful words. God bless and give you peace.
