VERY, VERY HUNGRY

Monday, February 17, 2014

Since today was "the day" I was going to start my weight loss program, I decided to only eat half of my usual bagel. I WAS STARVING... So, apparently, this is not the right solution to my weight loss program. I bought some oatmeal and will eat one packet of regular and one packet of sweetened. I love my bagels in the morning because they are quick and easy. I bought some English Muffins hoping they will be a good alternative, they are whole wheat which should help. I had no fruit in the house, so the 1/2 a bagel was all there was for breakfast. So, back to the drawing board. Tonight I will do some dvds or YouTube or Spark video. Don't feel like zumba, tomorrow we are all going to hit the gym.
Crazy day at work today.
Another winter storm on its way. Two to four inches with possible freezing rain. Even if school is cancelled, I have to go in. We will see what the roads look like tomorrow morning, I may have to call off as I slid a little this morning because there is not a lot of salt left due to the bad winter. emoticon emoticon

I am SO sick of this weather!!!!! I really want a new job but there has been a snow or ice storm every week. I can't start a new job and then call out because there is a storm. I can't get my eating under control either being stuck inside. As for the bagel,I tried to stop buying them. I nuke an egg in a cup for a minute and then place it on an english muffin. It's still 100 calories less than a bagel and keeps you fuller longer. emoticon

Do you like vegetables? There's no law that says you can't have them for breakfast and if you load your 1/2 bagel with roasted red peppers, spinach, cherry tomatoes, etc., it will help you feel full. I also agree with the notion of getting some protein. An egg with the bagel will help. And finally I found that the feeling of "starving" will eventually go away. Learning to ride it out was very, very helpful to me. If I just wait and distract myself, I usually find that I can outlast that false sense of being about to "die" from hunger. Good luck!!!

Put some protein in that english muffin and it will help to keep you full ... we got freezing rain -- immediately stuck to the cars and with it "pouring" down it was a bit of rain and the snow melting ... took us an hour to go 19 miles .... what a mess !! we need to rid of this stacked snow everywhere .... supposed to be in the 40's the next 3 days .... roc

Protein for breakfast! I find that when I load up on protein first thing, I am much less hungry for the rest of the day. I usually make a veggie omelet ap I can squeeze a serving of veggies into breakfast as well. I encourage you to try it.
