Sunday, went out again

The only thing I had planned on doing was a bit of grocery shopping. I did get that accomplished, but was a bit rushed because my husband told me he needed to meet someone in the middle of the day, so I said, we're coming with (like I did yesterday) because I needed to do some things out that way anyhow, and it was convenient for us all to go out and save gas by doing it all at once.

I managed my breakfast before I went out to begin with, the antioxidant blend I'm loving at the moment.

After my husband met up with his friend, we did lunch, a little later than usual so I was super hungry. I only ate about half my fries and didn't touch the coleslaw. I'm not one for veggies with any dressing, this simply came with my popcorn shrimp basket.

The kids got free ice cream with their paid kids meals, so my husband asked if I'd split a banana split with him, so naturally I said yes. Splitting it was just enough ice cream for me, plus we got fruit that way.

I ended up spending more than I had planned.

My daughter got one of those rubber band bracelet loom things from her reading points at school (they have an awesome points system at school that gets more kids reading in their elementary school, not that my kids need the extra incentive), it was one of the more expensive items in her points system, so she's really been reading those books and passing the comprehension tests (including the Harry Potter books) to get such awesome prizes! (Big shout out, my 3rd grader reads at a 7th grade level!)

Naturally that meant she went through most of her rubber bands that came with the loom to begin with, so we went out to Michael's to get more and surprise, they were on sale! So they got 5 packs of them (she's sharing her loom with her brother, what a great sister), then I started wandering, which is always dangerous for me, getting some 70% off Valentines items (cupcake boxes and stuff for the kids to do) and I ended up in the art section, finding bogo free drawing pads, so I got some bigger pads to draw in and a not on sale item 48 drawing pencils (the cheap ones). It's hard to get out of Michael's without whipping my debit card out.

By the time we got home, I wanted a little something, so I pulled out the big box o' chocolates I bought the day before and had a serving size of them. This big box has twice as many chocolates, so I got more of the ones I love out of it.

Then I finally got around to dinner. I knew I needed to eat and didn't want to cook, but ended up doing it anyhow. Fortunately cheesy noodles don't take much time, but I also had to cut up veggies. No one else was moving to make dinner, so even though I was starting to feel a bit light headed, I ended up making dinner anyhow. It was a little later than usual because we got going so late as it was earlier.

I had one more chocolate after dinner since the box wasn't put away immediately.

My husband brought over a bowl of chips to the couch while we were getting ready to watch Downton Abbey and he asked, "What, no picture?". Well, I had one of his chips. No I didn't take a picture of the one chip I stole out of his bowl, but I'm admitting to the one chip here and now.

I went to bed a bit late, there's no school Monday because of the holiday. Hopefully it won't throw off the rest of the week.

    Your daughter sounds awesome. And your support of her reading is fantastic. emoticon
    We too like Downtown Abbey and mostly watch PBS. DH's family is from England and would be in the downstairs group. His grandmother used to do laundry in the castle. When she was 15 a needle went into her hand. When she was in her 90'd there was a bump on her foot and the needle came out.

    Doing this photo food journal sure makes you accountable. Is it helping you make better choices? I can often not remember what I ate the meal prior so it seems like a good idea. I guess it depends how you use the information too.
