Two days in a row - it's a healthy miracle.

I completed four miles on the treadmill in 53 minutes - and boy, that was tough! I'm proud of myself for getting back on track, but I can't help but wax poetic about the days when a 5k would be my WARM UP. (sigh)

Baby steps, ellemac, baby steps. I'll get there...

...relatively quickly, I hope. After all, the 1/2 marathon is in ten weeks...!

(And no I'm not expecting to run the entire thing. Heck, I didn't even run the whole race back in 2009 and I was in AMAZING shape. But I ran almost all of it.)

Since I ran (mostly walked) today, I'm going to do cross training tomorrow and run again on Tuesday. My feet need a break and I don't want to burn out before training really begins.

Still no word when our very own treadmill will arrive ...but I'm excited!!

I may need to invest in a better jogging stroller come spring, too. I bought one second-hand (third-hand, actually) but if I'm really going to get back into this, my babe deserves a smoother ride than ours has to offer.
