I didn't expect DH to come home Friday as he was supposed to be on call at work but he ended up switching weekends and made it home, around 1 am. We had a good Saturday, went out to lunch and then he did our taxes! We went out for breakfast this morning and he left late morning to head back to Arkansas for another week of work. Hopefully things will move along now that we have a contract on a house and we'll get a closing date and then get a moving date (around the first of April) so I can join him up there.
So now I know that most likely I have 6 weeks left here, two of those with my daughter visiting. I need to empty my freezer in that period of time! Luckily it's mainly frozen veggies and frozen dinners so it should be easy to do. There are other things that I'll need to toss, like the sugar free popsicles that have been in there for too long and are kind of yucky now! In fact I tossed some of those tonight. Got to have that freezer empty and defrosted before the move.
I had a stiff, achy weekend. Low back pain, stiff joints. I did my back exercises and today I took a nice long walk in the spring weather. Yes, it was in the 60's here and I got kind of hot in my long pants during the walk. I have to get more active again, I've been so lazy this winter. We have a treadmill and a stationary bike and I don't use them! At least in the new house we will have a room just for them which will be nice! Right now the treadmill is in the corner in my son's old room and the stationary bike is in our bedroom. I can't wait to have an exercise room!
I'm looking forward to seeing my daughter a week from Monday. The last time I saw her (other than Facetime and Skype) was Dec. 2012 when she flew home to be with me when I was in the hospital. That was when I was seriously ill so I really was too sick too enjoy her much. And even when I came home from the hospital, I was so weak and still so sick from the histoplasmosis that I couldn't do much or enjoy her visit much.
As to the histoplasmosis: I have trace amounts left in my body. I have to be rechecked in April but I was able to stop taking the antifungal meds in November. As long as the levels stay low I'm fine. If they start to go up I guess I'll have to back on the meds again. At least if that happens we'll catch it early before it takes over my whole body like it did last time!
Doctor checkup with internist went fine except cholesterol levels were high. I have to start back on statins. I had to stop taking them due to the histoplasmosis and the meds for it due to the damage to my liver at that time and the fact that statins can be hard on livers that are in distress. Blood sugar was good this time though.
