I hope everyone is doing OK. I know some of you are still getting snow. My friend in New Jersey sent a picture of the snow they'd shoveled off their driveway, and the pile of snow was at least 4 foot tall. There was ice under the snow, so she is not too happy about that especially since more snow is predicted for Monday.
No snow here. It was another nice day weather wise. The computer is still not working correctly. That is so frustrating. At least I am online now, and I am going to do all that I can while it is working half way correctly.
I visited Shelby today, and she is looking healthier and feeling better. They had her walking with her walker again today, and she walked a long distance. She was a little bored there this weekend. All of those who'd visited last weekend when she first got to the rehab center did not come back this weekend. She is getting familiar with other residents though so she can socialize at mealtime. That is good because she isn't too 'wild' about the food she is served. There are no options, everyone gets the same foods unless he/she is on a 'restricted' diet.
My son took her small containers of orange juice and a few snacks for her room yesterday. She'd asked for orange juice because she said she doesn't get enough at breakfast. I was going to take her orange juice, but he beat me to it. I was glad since I wasn't planning on going there yesterday, but I would have gone to take her orange juice because it hurt my heart to know that she wanted orange juice and couldn't get more from the staff. They only have a limited amount, so there are no seconds.
Shelby is actually more like a mom to me because my mom was in her 40's when I was born, and Shelby was 14. Shelby did most of the taking care of me when I was a baby and all though my childhood. Mom and I moved in with Shelby and her husband when I was 14, so I have always been very close to her. She is really close to both of my sons, and she is my youngest son's 'Godmother.'
Well, I am out of here and on to finish what I need to do on Spark People. I have other things to do, too. I have an online test to take to renew my Spin Certification, and I also need to renew my Fitness Instructor's insurance online. The computer won't let me go to either of those sites. Fortunately, I have until the middle of March to do both of those things, but I would really like to get all of that behind me. Yes, that really IS the "Queen of Procrastination," who just said that!
Have a GREAT WEEK, and TAKE CARE!
