The 5:2 Experiment

So for the past 2 weeks, I've been doing the 5:2 (well actually 4:3) diet plan. I must say that it's mostly been rather easy. So here is the way it works: on 2 days out of the week, you don't eat anything till dinnertime. That meal should not be more than about 500 cals. Now, to be honest, really, it's supposed to be 500 cals total for the day, so you *could* eat small meals throughout the day, but most ppl just save the cals for dinnertime. During the day, you drink water, teas, broths to get you through.
On the other 5 days, you eat normal. No calorie counting or anything (although most ppl count something: carbs, cals, fat...). What I plan on doing is staying LC for those eat days, and just sticking with veggies and protein on the fast day meal.
It's actually been going pretty good! First week is a lost 2 lbs, second week another pound and I think I would have lost more if I had stuck to LC on my eating days. But I ate things like mashed potatoes and pizza!
It's actually much easier than I thought it would be! The reason I am doing 3 fast days is that typically on the weekends, I never get around to eating anything till about dinnertime anyway, so I figured that logically, it made sense to add in a third fast day.
I am gonna keep going with this and see how far it takes me! Today, being Sunday, is a fast day so I am sipping coffee, water, hot broth, etc. and have some chores to do; taking a break from cleaning at the moment to get caught up on Spark!
