Rule #11

I had an epic fail yesterday.

I ate well all day, went for a long walk, drank my water, went and worked in my storage unit for a while... and then I went to the grocery store hungry.

The end result? A bucket of fried chicken, a pint of Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Therapy ice cream, and a very upset tummy.

That is all.

I know, I know! I have to remind myself everytime!!!

We went to the movies the other day right after I re-started my weight loss regime. I purposelly ate a lot of raw veggies before we went so that I would be so full it would be easy to resist the popcorn and candy that I would normally indulge in.

My 8 year old got a small popcorn and some candy, and I was able tp resist taking even 1 bite.

Yes, I know 1 bite is not going to ruin a day, BUT I know myself, I go down a slippery slope, 1 bite turns into me tumbling down a hill! That's true for some candy, pizza and tortila chips for me. I have trouble eating a small portion and ending up overindulging.

Well, hiopefully I can remind myself about the lesson you learned next time I go shopping.
Thanks for sharing!

I agree lol. Fortunately I go shopping when I am full. I never did this on purpose, just works out that way. How are you feeling?

Yes..I am also vulnerable when shopping when I am hungry. I keep 100 calorie packets of nuts in my purse for such times. I also stop in and drink a hot herbal tea while shopping.

Have a great new day today. You can do it.

Amen to that. Happened to me last week. BAD idea, going hungry. Takes a day like that to remind us how bad. My stomach doesn't like overindulgence any more.
