Day 14 - steak

Saturday, February 15, 2014

The day started out a little stressful. We went over the Guaymas to stock up at the big store. I always get my chicken, goat cheese and a few other bits and pieces there. Last time they didn't have goat cheese but luckily they had it back in stock but this time they were out of chicken breasts! So much for driving all that way and finding I couldn't get half of the things on my list. We ended up stopping at a local market on the way home and found some decent looking chicken breast and also a nice new york strip steak.

DH grilled the steak and chicken and we had that for lunch with side of veggies and the chopped salad. I had half the steak, plenty for me and DH had some chicken, so there are lots of leftovers in the fridge.

My Valentine's lunch

This month the weather has been glorious with temps around 80F and if it's not to windy we like to eat lunch outside either on the front patio with the water view or in the back yard amongst the bougainvillea

Back yard

I took this pic at 10:30am, by lunchtime the sun has come around more and we need the umbrella.

Flowers on top of the wall

I really enjoyed my steak lunch, which really should have been dinner, so I had salad and veggies for my dinner. This morning I was down 0.6, so the gain from the previous day is gone with a little bit more. Today it's been 2 weeks on The Plan and my loss for the 2 weeks is 3.8 pounds - getting closer to goal!!

we were at a 2-day wrestling tournament, with no decent food choices...I ate mostly nachos and cookies because I was starving. Looking forward to real food tomorrow.

Your lunch and the views you've got and all -- look just like a photo out of a magazine so beautiful. Sounds like you guys have the perfect retirement.

You have to be a little bit adventurous when you live in places that aren't in the States, like some things are available while others are not. Lucky for us when that happens here in the States if you live in a city of any size at all, there are other places to go look for them.

Your life sounds like it could be written up in a magazine -- and congratulations on that weight loss. I'm not on any specific plan, but so far in this two week period of February I've lost 2.6 so it's making me feel a lot better.
