I'm slowly starting to learn more about myself.
I find it intriguing that one bowl of ice cream can send my blood sugar souring, and yet I can have up to 3 pieces of fruit a day with no hint of it affecting my blood sugar.
I've also recently found an Asian product, a jar (admittedly containing sugar water type syrup), but in that jar are about 5 different fruit types (as the label put it anyway): Coconut strips, coconut gel, palm fruit, jack fruit, and red mung beans.
Anyway, have indulged on this quite a few times over past few days and this doesn't seem to affect my blood sugar either.
...also, can someone please explain to me how red mung beans can be classed as fruit?!? Up until now, I've always seen it as a savoury, but in saying that, I'll admit it tastes yummy mixed in with other fruit.
