Happy Valentine's Day!


Today I have logged all my food and discovered that I didn't close to eating all my calories. Went to the gym and did 35 minutes on the elliptical. My trainer canceled and my lunch date canceled. Went shopping for spend my $50 gift card from Christmas. Tried to find something for Gary for Valentine's Day but couldn't find anything other than winter socks and a card. Which is more than I got!!! I cooked a great dinner -- beef tips and rice with lemon pepper asparagus. Will have in my 10,000 steps shortly. I weighed this morning and haven't lost anything. Disappointed but I know as long as I stay on my path -- logging my food and keeping up with my walking -- I will lose weight. This is a lifetime for me, not a diet. I want to be able to eat what I want and I love the exercise -- I just want to make better choices for me. I had a great conversation with the SHP health coach. I told her about my daily 10,000 steps, my twice a week strength sessions with Matthew, and difficulty logging my food. Then I remembered that I also gave up diet coke -- I have had no diet coke or 3 weeks! This is a biggie for me but I know that it is better for my health and I drink more water for sure.

    You are doing great! Your body needs time to adjust and then the weight will come off. Hang in there and keep Sparking!
