Valentines day

Friday, February 14, 2014

Didn't go outside the door today. It has been pouring all day and now the wind is roaring.
I spent the day decluttering and shredding. There just seems so much stuff. I don't remember how I got it all. I almost had a panic attack today when I found a box full of bits and pieces. I am afraid I just put the lid back on it and left it.
Ate well today. Before Christmas I got some fillet steak reduced because the shop was closing. I cooked it today for me and my husband on Valentines Day. It was so delicious, it just melted in the mouth. We had a salad with flat leaved parsley and onion and lemon juice.
Not a royalist but have to say very proud of William and Harry helping out with the flood relief. It seemed a very genuine response.
That's it nothing else to report.

I moved all of our receipts when we moved to this house in 2008. They were from 1978 to current. It took me a long time using two shredders to get rid of all of them. So don't feel bad about one box. Do 27 flings (get rid of 27 things) until you whittle it down. It is all about progress, not trying to get it all done in a day. You are doing great!

I think that's a good way to declutter. Do just what you want to do.

Despite the weather, it sounds like a good day for you. emoticon

Dinner sounds great...especially when you can get a good buy on such an excellent piece of meat!! I haven't been tuned in to the weather all day so don't know how much worse it's gotten for you. I'm worried about you and Sassy and Trev when I see the coast lines washing away and all the castles surrounded by sand bags to keep the flood waters away. It's been wild weather all over the world this year. Glad you're warm and dry and de-cluttering!!

Stay warm and dry and safe!! Your dinner sounds delicious. And good for your royals for taking part in what must be a difficult situation for many. We need to expect a lot from our leaders, be they elected or hereditary!

Have a wonderful weekend - hope the rains end and the winds die down!!
