I went to the gym last night. it had been exactly a week since I went last. Which is not typical for me and also it felt like I hadn't been in a month.
I did seven minutes on the elliptical and was kind of surprised by how quickly the time went. I didn't find myself watching the clock nonstop like I usually do. I think I'll be moving up to eight minutes soon. Or maybe going up a level instead. I haven't really decided.
I skipped the stationary bike and spent the next 50 minutes on weight lifting machines. Full body workout! And I feel so much better. So much more at peace, less stressed out and tense. And speaking of which, I was doing on of the ab machines. I forget what it's called but you push a bar forward then come back. It kind of looks like this one: http://www.bizrice.com/upload/
Anyway, every time it was time to stop pushing and lean back and let the bar come back, my back popped! It was a little embarrassing because it was loud, but it felt so good and I felt a lot less stiff. And I didn't even realize how stiff and tense I was until my back started popping!
It's crazy because I never thought I'd be a person who goes to the gym...much less enjoys it.
