WHEN WE LOSE HEART
There are times in our lives when we lose heart. When we lose heart, we become discouraged. When we become discouraged, we become more focused on us and what we are going through than the entire situation. If we take time to think about the other people involved and put our focus on God rather than ourselves, He will show us how to help those people rather than dwelling on our own problems. God can help us not to lose heart by renewing our minds and spirits when we decide to be obedient to Him by helping others and sharing His word in the midst of any situation.
1 Chronicles 22:13 “For you will be successful if you carefully obey the decrees and regulations that the Lord gave to Israel through Moses. Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or lose heart!” (NLT)
Dear Lord, we know there is no real reason to lose heart in any situation. Yes, there will be hard times. Yes, there will be times when we aren’t sure of the outcome. Yes, there will be times when we become discouraged and are tempted to lose all hope. However, we know You are the Answer to those times. You can help us through hard times, deliver Your outcome and help us to be strong and courageous in the midst of any situation. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
When things just don’t seem to be going our way, we shouldn’t lose heart but instead show God’s love so His will can be done.
Other people who don’t know God may lose heart quickly because they become discouraged by the things of the world. We can help by sharing God with them.
Losing heart means to be discouraged and give up. But God wants us to call on Him so we can be strong and courageous in all things.
God wants us to draw close to Him and allow Him to work through our hearts so we can share His love with others especially when everyone else is giving up.
We are to live as Jesus did and not lose heart but be patient and wait on God’s will to be done.
Isaiah 42:4 “He will not falter or lose heart until justice prevails throughout the earth. Even distant lands beyond the sea will wait for his instruction.” (NLT)
