Feeling it today

So yesterday I couldn't go for my walk/jog so I decided to add some jumping jacks. I googled how many jumping jacks to burn 300 calories and there was a blog that said 10 sets of 30 jumping jacks burns 300 calories. True or not I did it mixed in with my other floor exercises. I timed my first set and it takes me about 30 seconds per set. When I tracked them today on spark people it said it was much lower in calories burned, but at least I did something to try to make up for not walking. Between that, shoveling snow, and new workout I am sore. But in a good way. emoticon

Today was the second day of ripped in 30's week 2 workout. Lots of numbers in that last sentence, whew. I felt like I got some things down, but got sloppy towards the end on one of the ab moves. I was so disappointed in my form that I practiced it so hopefully tomorrow I won't feel as awkward. That 2 minutes of cardio in plank, ugh! So hard, but I did it by just going to my knees between sets and I had to pause a couple of times during the last set of mountain climbers.

I am so proud of my eating. I've been eating mostly fresh foods and even starting to like boiled egg in my salad at lunch. It has to be chopped up. I can't just bite into it or I get sort of grossed out. I also have a similar problem with other things. Maybe I need to try that with grapes LOL. Somethings that I have really been into lately are celery with peanut butter and a little bit of mustard on my mixed vegetables. I also have been eating strawberries every day with bananas. Goodness!

Hoping to go walking tomorrow. I miss it! What healthy food combo have you been into lately?

    I like salad greens with cottage cheese and salsa. The coolness of the cottage cheese counter balances well with the heat of the salsa.

Fantastic job with the food. That's so awesome. I think it is the hardest part of all of this.

I'm not sure about a good, healthy combo, but I had some vegan pesto on salmon last night and yams...omg. YUM. I'm enjoying finding little things like that pesto that I can add to a meal to make it even yummier. I'll post a pic of it on my next blog. It was AMAZING. My parents got it at costco - it was a threesome of pesto, eggplant and something else (not sure what).

    I like either celery or apples with peanut butter, just about any veggie with hummus, a variety of fruit/nut combinations, and of course, pretty much any combination of fruit with, well, fruit! It's funny how much sweeter it seems when you quit eating junk!

Don't beat yourself up over not having that video down perfectly. The important thing is that you're giving it your all and making progress. You're doing awesome work!
