Next time I'm kicking myself for eating too much or too little of something, I need to take a step back and instead of feeling like I made a mistake looking at the single day report, remember to go to the next page of the nutrient feedback report so I can see the weekly averages. It seems like every day, I only have one or two "met your goals," but when I look at the weekly averages, I find that the values are all much closer to the target range (practically touching those little green windows but just not quite there) with over half of the nutrients I track being inside that range, with maybe one or two exceptions. I have a hard time balancing my diet on the small-scale daily level, but my nutrient is much more balanced than I realized, so all I have to do is tweak a few eatings, not overhaul all my habits. I feel so much more relieved to see that.
