Water containers???

Thursday, February 13, 2014

What type of bedside water container do you use?

Ya know, when you get thirsty at night and don't want to get up to get a drink.

I'm using a plastic one w/ a short straw that somehow leaks. So I'm looking for a better container. Needs to be covered, of course.

Any recommendations and/or links would be appreciated.

I like the sports bottles with the flip top lid to drink from. You can find inexpensive ones (that are still EPA free) from the big discount stores. If you want a smaller one, maybe a kid sized. They have those, too.

We have well water in our house and it is hard water, so we have to add softener in it. Therefore we have to buy bottled water and that is what I use to put by the bed.

I use those little plastic jugs with a top that pops up and down. You pop it up to drink from it, and then you pop it down so it doesn't spill.

I usually have a glass of water or a teacup of water. I've knocked over the glass before , so the teacup is shorter. emoticon emoticon

I use a Tervis cup for everything. they keep the water cool for hours, have a lid and a spot for a straw. A multitude of sizes too

I sometimes get terrible dry mouth, so I keep a Brita water bottle by my bed.

I'm like Cheryl... I don't drink water in the middle of the night, so I don't need water in the bedroom.

But... there is this great company with really high quality innovative things for all sorts of situations (I love using jars... and I prefer galss or steel over plastic). Here are some of the water receptacles I've considered (I have ordered from them, and have not been disappointed):

Any screw top lid should work.

I prefer to get my water during the day. I don't make a point of drinking it during the night.
(so no H2O in my room!)
