Five years ago on Friday 13th my husband had his accident when he was run over. He doesn't remember but I remind him. A neighbour came with me to the hospital, what an incredibly brave and loving thing to do. We weren't even friends. It reminds me if that line from Streetcar, about the kindness if strangers.
Today I de cluttered. I am not only slowly organising my life and getting rid of stuff, but I am finding things I forgot I had. A box of cards I could use for valentines day, to send to my grand daughters, that saved me a few pounds! A new book of suduko puzzles. A blanket with sleeves, a slankert, which I can really do with, it was my sons. Somewhere I know I will find a box of shower creams which I got off QVC and lost!
I made a soup with left over bacon and lots of vegetables. I tried not to use salt but it was too bland without it but I have switched to low sodium salt. I used lots of spices and herbs but it needed salt.not good for my blood pressure I know.
Getting late now so goodnight.

I love finding things that I have misplaced. It is funny how a flat surface invites something being placed on it. I have few that are clear. I was so proud that when my mother died, I was able to give her clothing to another woman which she shared with her sister. Some get attached to the deceased's stuff and cannot part with it.

Mom had to have a heart catheterization and bled out after it was over. I ran from her room and a woman kept asking me to show her where the Ladies room was. I know she was doing it deliberately to divert my attention. I felt as if I was going to pass out. The doctor came and checked on Mom and said she would have to kept lying down for longer, but that she would be fine and she was.

I hope when your neighbor helped you, that someone else was doing the driving to the hospital.

Yes, de-cluttering for me is a lot like Christmas...unexpected gifts abound. It's because I used to be the Queen of Retail Therapy!! Did your stranger neighbor become your friend after the incident at the hospital or just stay to get you through it? It is amazing how often someone we hardly know comes through at the worst times of our lives...I think SP is kind of like that. People we don't know and most likely will never meet and we can pour our hearts out to them without fear of judgement or ridicule.
