Did some banking after work,, made the rounds to Dad's house.. The temps is up to 20 degrees today,, no snow falling, until tomorrow..

Made a call to a friend that had surgery this morning,, she is in la-la land yet,,

made another call to my dear friend Kathy, whose dad is in his final days.. Hospice has been there for a few months, but Leo is getting close to home now. The family has a big job ahead of them: they have made some decisions that are so naive` that I fear the blowout from them will be major. Been through a lot of deaths in the past few years, in charge of all arrangements.. what they have set in place is so in complete that they will be totally flabbergasted when they realize how un-prepared they are,, Even after many, many people(not me) told them what the consequences will be, they insisted they know what they are doing and have everything under control.. hoo-boy!!

I just step back and watch,, ,, the fireworks will be big and loud...

It is hard to step back and watch another person go through their first death n the family, but everybody has to do it..

I have only been directly involved in the planning one time, for my Mother, and it was exhausting. I never realized how many separate decisions had to be made ie; music, casket, flowers, prayer cards....oh that one really got to my sister and I, we started crying reading all the different little poems that could go on them, info for the obit, pallbearers, wake and more!

Just be there with open arms when the end comes and she needs you. I will keep her and her family in my prayers.

The last days are so hard when you know what is coming. Like Eileen, I have been through that with both my parents. I will pray for your friend and the family. You know I like what Eileen said. Prayer is the best thing we can do for others. So many times, I have heard people say "The only thing I know to do now is pray." It is always the BEST and FIRST thing we can do. God bless you and your friends at this time. Judi emoticon

It is so sad to hear about what your friend is going through. Yes, losing a loved one is major. I went through it twice with my parents. You will probably be a soft place for her to fall when her dads death does come. Just be there for her. Hospice should be able to help them out getting someone in to help. They are wonderful people. Just keep them all in your prayers. It's the best thing we can do for anyone. Take care of yourself. I'm sure you will be called on. God bless, Eileen
