Yesterday was just...bad. There were icy patches on the roads yesterday morning and people just lost theirs minds. It usually takes me 30-45 minutes to get to work. I left early, because I knew traffic was going to be a hot mess, but I was unprepared for how much. I left the house at 7. I got to work at 9:30. Two and half hours to get to work. I was an hour and half late.
Then, once I got here, my shiny new software crapped all over itself and refused to work. It just kept freezing up. I battled it for 30 minutes before I called tech support. Then we battled together. Tech support was baffled, they'd never seen this before. Shiny new software is very new and not a lot of places are using it yet. So they were going to have to do some research. Which left me unable to work. I sat there for probably another 30 minutes staring at the computer with contempt and swearing under my breath. And then like magic it started working again.
By then it was almost lunch time. And when I went to eat I realized I had left my gym bag and some mail I needed to send out at home. So no gym after work, because it's too much of a time suck to go allllllllll the way back home get my bag and go allllllll the way back to the gym. I did remember it today though.
Also, our dishwasher is still out of commission. We got the part. But now it's leaking where the hot water comes from the wall. So we gave up and called our home warranty people and they're sending a plumber out tomorrow.
A little bit of good news: My mom got to go home from the hospital yesterday. She still has the drain, but they'll remove that next week. The doctor is going to schedule the colon repair surgery next week when he takes the drain out.
