Day 41 - And on the 7th day, God rested

Thursday, February 13, 2014

See, even God has a rest day in The plan! emoticon

OK, OK, I'll calm down... some folks could get offended by the flippant God reference. But seriously, rest is a HUGE part of training and health. And on my training plan that's what TODAY is in the cycle, a rest day.

So I'll do my break walks, but I won't get intense. I shall remember to breathe. I'll do my little chores & indulge my mind in explorations, and I'll Spark. And I'll eat what's in the bag.

For LIFE is good. Even better when I'm fit. Consistent, conscious, and creatively grateful for the gift that is TODAY! emoticon

Good reminder! Rest is needed. I imagine my insides and my brain at a recharging station during the rest days:)

My "rest" day is usually on the weekend and reserved for cooking, cleaning, laundry and all those "restful" things...lol!

Somebody posted a blog yesterday (which I didn't actually read . . . ) with a header indicating, not "her" blog but "God's" blog. Liked that!! So I don't think you're engaging in irreverent self-aggrandizement here, but we Canajuns do tend to be a comparatively heathen lot anyhow you know.

I'm supposing we might consider God was modelling an appropriate pattern for us mere humans? Because if omnipotent (as well as omniscient and omnibenevolent) He surely did not genuinely require rest himself?? Oh yeah, I taught college philosophy of religion for many years in a previous incarnation!!
