My wedding ring fell off!

Wednesday, February 12, 2014

... and I wasn't even in a singles bar!

Okay, that last bit was a joke. Don't get the wrong idea: TaiChiDancer is VERY HAPPILY MARRIED. But it is true that my ring just fell (flew actually) off when I shook my hand.

It wasn't totally unexpected: it has been getting looser and and looser as I've lost weight. But today was the first time it came off on its own.

Yes, I know I can get it sized or I can get a ring guard (and I think I'll do the latter for now) but it is just amazing to me and a reminder of how far I've come on this Spark Journey.

LOL has happened to me too, got a ring guard for one and the other is just getting too loose so tis time for me to get them both sized down, Think now this will be the last time, since its the knuckle that counts now.
But yes it is a great reminder of your progress.

Hugs and smiles
Deb

Congratulations! I'm having the same challenge especially when it's a little colder or I'm a little less hydrated. I know I should get my re-sized but for some reason I like the reminder...I guess a little daily NSV.

Mine has been getting a lot looser too. Hubby actually just had it resized for me a year or so ago because it hadn't fit my finger ever since I got pregnant with my son. Now I'm gonna have to resize it again??? I might look into a ring guard too.

Talk about a Non-Scale Victory! (NSV) good for getting the ring guards so it'll stay on~

Me too - it flew right off my hand when I threw abiscuit out for my dog. I cried and then ran to go find the metal detector because I couldn't find it in the snow.

Progress! What a funny sign of how far you've come, hope no one was injured by the flying ring!

That's a good sign. When I first reached my goal weight I almost lost my ring playing basketball. I got it resized and now if the ring gets a little tight I know I need to get back on track..

Get it re-sized, unless your finger is likely to shrink a lot more. 'Cause you won't ever need to take that ring guard OFF again, y'know?! ;)

That happened to me when I had come close to my goal weight. I was trying to shoo the dog out of the kitchen and ended up sending it sailing across the living room and right into the husband's lap. The look he gave me was priceless. And then he went out and bought me a ring guard until I was ready to have it resized, ha ha.
Congratulations. That's one of those "little" achievements that you don't necessarily think about until they happen.

I have mine in the jewelry box until I finish losing so I only have to resize once. I hadn't thought about a ring guard though...
