Day 42 2014

emoticon LS 2 mile , 30 min additional walking, 15 min stretching!

I am really loving getting my exercise done early, it feel so good! However getting up earlier has caught up with me today. So I am going to get in bed earlier tonight because I am going to keep getting up at the earlier time! I know I will adjust in a few days.

Did very well with food today. I have figured out a way to get the taste of a burger without the bun. I cut up romaine and spread it on a plate. Then I cut up some tomato and onions and sprinkle them on top of the romaine. Then I squirt a couple of teaspoons of spicy mustard and a teaspoon of ketchup around (just enough to get a taste of it kind of like dipping your fork in salad dressing) then I put my turkey burger patty with cheese on top and cut it and it eat it that way. It satisfies my burger craving and I really don't miss the bun!

I feel as though I am "stuck" at this weight right now. I will see what the scale says in the morning. If I am still between 239 and 241 I am going to have to make some changes for the new week and see if I can get things moving again.

I hate plateaus but they are a fact of life when you are on a weight loss journey. They are irritating and aggravating but they must be dealt with. I am not going to let it get me off track or in the "I don't care, I give up" attitude. I will figure out what I need to do to get off the plateau!

I haven't done any strength training this week. I was too sore for a few days and then I changed the cardio up so I am just now ready for strength training again.

TOMORROW'S MINI GOAL: ADD THE STRENGTH TRAINING BACK!

SUCCESS! You have a plan. You are back on track with ST (work different muscle sets so that even if/when you are sore from overdoing, you can still work it)

I even noticed at my favorite 5 Guys Burgers & Fries they now serve them on lettuce as an option. WTG that you found a way to enjoy what you REALLY wanted and not be derailed!

You are my SHEro! emoticon

Thanks for sharing your burger recipe. I will keep my fingers crossed that the scale reflects your hard work.

I like your idea of a bunless burger.

Rest days are important too, especially when strength training, so it was probably wise to take a bit off. But definitely get back on that horse!

Plateaus can be so discouraging, but the scale isn't the only measure of progress. (I need to be reminded of that from time to time... okay, a lot emoticon )
