It was seeing 206 on the scale that really did it. I started back with Sparkpeople - and Spark coach - last July, when I weighed 202. I'm in better shape now, because I've been exercising with a trainer, but my eating has been way out of control.
But I think it has finally sunk through my thick head that no one is in charge of my eating except me. So I have a plan about what to eat, and so far (ok, it's only been a few days, but that's a few days longer than in the past) I've stuck to it, even when there was lots of tempting food around (coffee hour after church).
I don't expect to lose weight very quickly; I never did even when I was much younger, and it is harder now. But I already feel a lot better about myself.
