We have a home healthcare worker two mornings a week for two hours to assist with my husband's personal care needs and some light housework. This morning was bath, wash hair day for him and clean kitchen floors for the house.
Shortly before she was scheduled to leave dear husband called me over to his chair, put his arm around me and said:
"I want you to do a favor for me. Take $20 out of my wallet and go buy yourself some flowers for Valentine's Day, but go today before they raise the prices, and while you are there, can you pick me up some ice cream?"
Now really, how could I say no to a request like that? He is in a wheelchair and not able to do his own shopping and it was rather sweet of him to want to do this.
Here are the flowers I got:
While I was there I picked up this balloon/candy arrangement for him:
and yes, I got him the ice cream too.
This afternoon was a visit from the Area Agency on Aging to update his records. This is a quarterly visit that lasts about an hour.
Another great thing about today, on the way home from the store I saw the trucks out patching potholes
I consider that a sign of Spring.
Other than walking around the grocery store, and washing windows, I haven't done any exercise yet today. I will hop on the bike after dear husband goes to bed tonight.
Onward & Downward!
