Run, Dance, Live

Tuesday, February 11, 2014

Ran four miles this morning in my neighborhood. It was nice to wait until after sunrise and really see where I was going! Temperature was in the low 60's at 8am, so just right for running. The dog ran 1.5 miles of it with me. It was our best attempt so far to run together. She only ran into me once and didn't knock me over, so I consider that a success. I did take her home after that, though. Definitely easier to run without her.

Hubby and I are going to dance lessons this evening. Last week was cha-cha. They never tell us what will be taught until we get there. We've had tango, foxtrot, and waltz twice each. We've had maringue (spelling?), hustle, swing, cha-cha, and rumba once each. It's a lot of fun, but if we really wanted to learn it I think we'd need to practice in between the weekly lesson, and hubby doesn't seem to want to. So that's okay. It does help keep us active.

So far, I've had to report by phone for jury instructions 6 times, but have not had to go. Fingers crossed. Son in law starts his new job on Monday and I hope I don't have to leave my daughter in a pinch.

Hope your day is going great!!

Very cool news re: dance lessons...! I need to learn more, have limited myself to swing dance, which is nice & easy to master the basics. I quickly get confused and tangle up my!

I enjoy the peek into your life! Our jury duty lasts 1 day unless we're put on a jury, then it lasts for that trial only. I like this much better than the old 2 week stint.

We need to get back to dancing: it's so fun (and I agree, more fun if we could find time to practice between lessons . . . . )

Have I mentioned your temperatures have me jealous? Nonetheless, I saw runners out on my way home from the gym after work, out on the trails/sidewalks! It was 7 degrees this morning, I think it was around 20 by after work. So... we grow tough cold weather runners up here! They all looked just about as happy as you, and I'm happy that tomorrow's workout says "run"! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

How many more days do you have to do the jury duty call? Yikes!

Great on the run and on the dance lessons! You are enjoying life!

Good on you getting a run in! That is sure a lot of dance steps to learn! Hope hubby comes around and realises practising would make it more enjoyable..
Could you not be excused from jury duty for being a full time caregiver?
