What are you doing for Valentine's?

Tuesday, February 11, 2014

Good Morning; DH & I have been working on our relationship. We have had our ups and downs due to stress from his job and DS. This Valentine's Day we are having a lovely dinner at home. DH writes me a poem and reads it to me. DH is a romantic but with the stress from DS - DH has been frustrated. DS is not calling us as much. He called last night and talked for a very short time. I have not seen his eyeballs in many weeks. I need to see his face to actually see how he is doing. I told him that I am here to help him get some counseling and medical help. He has not asked for my help. I guess he is not ready. emoticon Going to see DD soon. DD is having emotional episodes where she gets weepy. This pregnancy is like her first one in that regard. Sent both Grand babies Valentine's gifts. Going to gym. I went yesterday, too. emoticon emoticon Have a good day!!

Praise God as this is progression and I know, it's difficult not seeing DS however, in his own time. He's coming around for it may be therapeutic for him to even call. Enjoy your Valentine's Day with DH and take good care of yourself! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon on the new grandbaby! emoticon

Congratulations, I had not read that you were expecting a new grandbaby, how wonderful,
for Valentines, we exchange cards, and perhaps I get flowers, dinner out, is very seldom, but lunch is a common occurrence, not as romantic, but that is great
hope things are going smoother for you, emoticon emoticon

DS -- Maybe for the moment it's better not to have too much contact so he gets things worked out. At least that's how it worked with our DS. Had to pull away and then he started "getting it". Especially when it adds to both your and DH's stress, which I completely understand! It's stress either way, but at least not "in your face" if contact is minimal.

Yes, pregnancy hormones = MAJOR EMOTIONAL SWINGS! My DD gets PMS and OMG. All I wanna do is stuff her with chocolate to quiet it for awhile! But she doesn't want to listen to my advice that is helps to get a little physical activity in (increases the serotonin and endorphins -- feel good hormones!) **SIGH** Kids -- gotta learn everything the hard way for sure!

DH: That is nice that you're having a quiet dinner @ home. That's exactly what our plans are too.

My parents' 61st anniversary is on Valentines Day. Sent them a "party in a box" -- streamers, confetti, some chocolate, some cookies. So, hope they have great anniversary.
