I Decided...To Keep Going

Monday, February 10, 2014

I haven't blogged in awhile for a few reasons. Work keeps me busy, plus I'm leaving for my daughter's wedding this week!

I'm trying not to get stressed, but there's definitely some sub-conscious things going on. I was on track to get out of the 230s this week, but I had a really rough time. I can't really explain it, but I just needed to slow down a little bit. So, my goal to eat freggies was put on hold for a bit and I phoned in my fitness with a 30 minute bike ride here and there.

So there you go. I'm still in the 230s, giving in, but not giving up. I need to work some flexibility into my plan, including scheduled rest days.

I can't operate like my hair is on fire constantly. Instead, I need to stoke the fire and keep the embers going for the long haul.

You are so right that we can't keep up a breakneck speed all the time. Sounds like you're ready to come up with a more workable plan; emoticon

Enjoy your daughter's wedding!

True! We need to deload at times as well. Especially when stressed, even if the stress is good stress!

emoticon Don't give up. Take a couple of deep breaths and do what you can. It is not about how long it takes us to do it, just that we do it at all.

I've tried and tried and tried... this time is different for me. I'm not stressing over the "diet" and am enjoying how my life is changing. We all just need a little boost sometime. But slow and steady is the best way... hang in there!!

Keep the fitness streak going and you will surely win the race. Because winners are losers who got up and gave it one more try.

Hang in there you can do it.

Hope your daughter has a beautiful wedding day.

Slow and steady wins the race! It needs to be something you can live with long term.

Exactly! If we burn out, that doesn't get us where we want to go!
