Day 870... decision made

Monday, February 10, 2014

It might not seem like a big thing, but I made the appointment to get my hair cut. I am donating to Locks of Love. I have done this before, and it was worth it. I just will have to get used to having short hair. I plan on getting it cut quite short.

Cooper and I have already walked over 10 miles today, and I still have to take him out one last time after dinner. I prefer walking on snowy sidewalks rather than icy ones, so I am pretty happy with the conditions right now. Tomorrow I am scheduled to walk with the gaggle of girls in the morning. We will see how much complaining they do with the frigid temps we are forecasted to drop to tomorrow. LOL!

I guess I am coping okay with this cold snowy weather. I did increase my Vitamin D, considering I am not getting a whole heck of a lot of sun exposure. Overall I think the level of exercise I am doing is enough to keep me feeling pretty happy.

That is a big decision!! That's a lot of hair to get cut off at once.

I'm sitting on the floor of my living room with the sun shining on my back (through the window) trying to get a little Vitamin D as I write this. I don't know if I can get the right kind of sun through the glass, but the warmth of the sun feels wonderful on a winter day.

I used to wear my hair below my shoulders, sometimes to mid back. Donated to Locks of Love twice. Now, I can't stand it when it gets much below my ears. I work with guys that have longer hair than me - it's not "boy short", but one of the guys has long, thick flowing hair. We kid that from the back of our heads, people would think he was the gal & I was the guy.

Yes, Yes! Before and after photos of the hair cut!

You make me laugh with the "gaggle of girls". You are a good auntie.

Very cool. Great job on "snow" walking. I would probably be on the girls complaining.

Donating your hair! What a wonderful thing to do. Having it short will be fun... it is really the rage with all the movie stars so you will be right in style!

Fantastic on donating your hair, and I agree with Linda, short hair is terrific!

I had long hair 14 years ago (first time I ever let my hair grow down to my waist - what was I thinking???), but was grateful when I chopped it off.

It got in the way of my tennis game, took too long to dry, and tangled like crazy.

Way to go, woman!!!

And snow or no, I'm walking tomorrow. You inspired me!

Have a great week, kiddo!

That is wonderful you are donating your hair! I always have my hair cropped very short, so very comfy for working out and looking okay under a toque for six months of a year!
Enjoy your walks!

Koodoos to you for donating your hair. You most likely will make someone else feel more comfortable about how they look and feel.
