Crashed and charred.

Monday, February 10, 2014

I can blame it on the weather, but yea, it's my fault.

I'm picking myself back up (I don't want to say I crashed and burned, I just got charred a little bit).

I'm seeing the after affects I allowed from being snowed in and doing nothing but eating for an entire week. Then out of town over the weekend and continued my eating.

Shocking and sad how you can gain weight twice as fast as you can lose it. Bummer. Well , I knew it was a risk I was taking with my behavior but we ignore the obvious sometimes. The good thing is I finally stepped on the scale and it was like a slap to the face. OUCH ! That hurt. I giggled a bit and decided all that food really wasn't worth it after all and I'm on track today and may throw in a few extra workouts to make up for last week.

Oh well, it happens (and yes, my downfall was the pizza binge from two weeks ago, I never got 100% back into the grove.... then allowing myself that candy I never eat at home). I allowed it to snowball and latterly being snowed in for 7 days of not leaving house made it so much worse.

I brushed myself off so I can jump right in. Glad I have a workout tonight and looking forward to it.

I think I gain weight three times as fast as I lose it. Winter always does me in. I must get creative and find ways to move more. Your blog made me feel a little better to know that I am not the only one who goes through this. But, emoticon

It is unfair how fast it comes back on, and how easily good habits are dashed. Planning and not allowing yourself to slide down slippery slopes after a slip are the keys, right? Dust off and move on!

I'm heading back to the recumbent bike in a few, I thought I was close to my daily steps... but I'm 1500 away!
Off I go!

Good luck this upcoming week. The cold weather got to me on Saturday and I never went outside which meant I didn't get my steps in. Really could see what a couch potato I was that day.

Charring you can scrape off. You know what you did and even more important, you know what you need to do. You have the right attitude. Shake it off and get back on track. As for the scale, when you SPARK, what when up will come down.

Good luck this week. emoticon
