Iím down about 8 pounds since the beginning of the year. Only 12 more until goal!
Iíve made minimal changes too. Iíve quit eating out for the most part. Iíve eaten out maybe 5 times since I started. I used to eat out on average of once per day. There were some days where I ate out for every meal! I havenít bought lunch in 6 weeks. Itís made a huge improvement on my checking account as well.
Iíve joined a gym. They opened up Planet Fitness 2 blocks from my house and, at $10 per month, I can afford to go. Iíve stuck to my workout plan 95% so far. There were a couple times I rescheduled my workout but Iíve done pretty well so far. Iíve found that I work out much more consistently when I can go to a gym rather than at home. I tend to get distracted by other things when at home. I do have a treadmill for back up when I canít get to the gym.
Today Iím starting the 5k Your Way Rookie Running Program. Last week I completed the 5k Your Way Walking Program and did the 5k in 53 minutes on Saturday. My goal for the next 8 weeks is just to complete the program successfully. I donít have any time goals.
Iíve also been following the New Rules of Lifting for Women program every 3 days.
I have about 3 weeks left (6 more sessions) of Phase 1 and will begin Phase 2 on 3/2/2014. Iíve done this program before but have never completed the first Phase so Iím excited about that! Phase 2 will be twice per week, Wednesdays and Sundays, to accommodate my 5k training and twice weekly derby practices.
Iíve also been on derby break for the past several months but Iím beginning again on March 18th! I canít wait; Iíve missed it and my friends so much. Iím dropping back a level to work on basics again. Iím hoping to rebuild my strength and endurance before beginning contact again.
According to my Spark Streaks, Iíve been soda free for 46 days and have workout at least 90 minutes per week for the last 5 weeks. Iíve also bee wearing my Spark Tracker and have been over 6,000 steps per day for all of February so far. My goal is to continue that for the entire month.
