My weight hasn't budged yet but I feel pretty good today. My inflammation is way down and I have lots of energy and feel like I got a good night's sleep. Yesterday I felt like I had a pinched nerve and it was making my shoulder hurt. I took some Alleive in the morning and evening and today I feel good. I made myself get on the treadmill for 30 min. last night and feel better for doing it.
I'm excited about today. Since I'm on day 8 now, I get to eat two meals a day! Woo hoo! The shakes aren't bad and filled with good stuff like light coconut milk, blueberries, veggie protein, ground flax seed and a spoon full of almond butter and they do fill me up pretty good for a while but two shakes and one meal a day was really making miss ...well ...food! I think lunch will be quinoa, salad with olive oil, salt and pepper and a piece of grilled salmon and some almonds.
I've been pretty good about drinking my 8 glasses of water a day and the days when I slip I only get 7 but since I only drank about 4 before I'd say that's a pretty good improvement. I'm not even counting the peppermint tea so if you count that I'm getting 8- 10 servings of water.
Who knows, maybe I'll still drop some pounds when this 3 weeks is up just by eating healthier. I'm proud of myself that I've been off of caffeine for about a month and a half too.
Yesterday I was feeling sorry for myself and ready to eat a big bowl of mashed potatoes when I hadn't lost any weight and felt a little achy but today I'm feeling renewed and committed to sticking with this as long as I can since I have more energy and don't have any major aches or pains.
Onward into week two!
