Yesterday was my first day of half-marathon training and oddly enough, it was a cross-training day, so I didn't run.. Instead I did a 50-minute Zumba workout. The training weeks start on Sundays and Sundays are cross-training and/or foam-rolling days. Tonight I will get to run 2 miles, which will have to be on the treadmill because the temperatures are once again below zero here.
I'm so excited to finally start my training program! The next few weeks are going to be busy for me because my daughter is involved in several extracurricular activities right now, but luckily I'm just starting the training program, so hopefully there won't be too many conflicts that could affect my training.
