I've been working out so much to Tegan and Sara recently, I cannot get enough!
My workout began when I woke up at 7 am today. I had to have my coffee of course before I could scoot scoot to the gym.
I had organic whole(all-the)grains cereal with almond milk. (Cow milk's hot sister, basically)
Jumping jacks ( 3 reps x30)
Butt/squat kicks (2 reps x20)
Low slung bike
at 95-100 rpm for 16 min
on manual for 16 minutes
two minute interval runs at 6.7 mph
"power walking" at 3.7 in b/t
(and become very red-faced)
3 sets of 20
a. regular, long flat legs 10 lb. weight
b. palms of the feet together, oblique crunches side-to-side
c. toes up to the sky, butt straight up
super slow pace.
3 x10 at 10lbs.
b. dumbbell bench press (20 lbs)
Tricep press machine
Lateral pull downs
3x10 at 40 lbs
Woo! I did it, y'all!
Morning workouts are really great.... It's hard for me to do them consistently without my accountabilibuddy but I made it this AM! It makes a lot of sense for your body to work out in the morning--to boost your metabolism, especially.
I've read that eating a healthy meal and exercising within the first hour or so of your day makes a big difference. The difference being that this energy fuels your body to burn calories consistently throughout the day.
Is that right?
P.S. I'm forever shamelessly selfie-ing, thanks to the timercam application for the iphone. It feels like I have something "to show" for myself. Turns out it's hard to look good while running.
