Update on bio-sensoric insoles and TurboFire

Monday, February 10, 2014

So I got my insoles and am currently breaking them in. I have to say they feel totally different from any insoles I have ever tested. I had to go buy a new pair of winter boots because the insoles simply do not fit into my other shoes. Well, that's not quite correct...the insoles fit but then my feet do not fit into the whole thing anymore.
So, I bought my boots one size larger. At home I am wearing the insoles in my workout sneakers so that I can actually wear them 24/7.
I am still not free of any pain but it's gotten better, I can tell. Last Friday I ordered another pair, this time for my running shoes. Can't hurt now, can it?

I have entered the second week of the TurboFire program. It's not as much fun as running but it gets the job done! To me nothing compares to running but TurboFire torches a lot of calories and it offers a good variety of workouts so that ANYONE can do them. I have to admit that I press the "pause" button ever so often to catch my breath because even the workouts marked "EZ" aren't easy at all. The combos are complex and are carried out quiet fast. Now, I used to be a Ballroom Dancer and I have difficulties to keep up with all that punching and kicking and jumping. I guess I'll have to do the "new to class" workouts a few times to get the combos down.

Nevertheless, it is a great program. My advice to anyone who wants to try it:
You simply have to modify some moves while settling in. If you have to take a break during a workout - TAKE IT. This way you'll stick with it and won't be discouraged. Watch some of the success stories on youtube or - you'll see that even girls who had 50 ore more pounds to lose DID stick with it. And they GOT RESULTS. Kudos to all of them!

I hope that in time my muscles will adapt and take even more stress off the tendons - so that I will be able to settle back into running this year. If not then I'll stick with TurboFire and maybe Chalean Extreme (as a hybrid) for good.

I have already scheduled every workout for the upcoming 12 weeks in my iphone (yes, I finally got one!) so there are no excuses for me anymore.

I am so excited to see progress and curious how I will look and feel 11 weeks from now.

Have a great week, Sparkers!

Lots of love,

LOVE TF!!! And doing a TF/CLX hybrid is a LOT of fun too. Just keep with it and pretty soon you'll be able to focus so much more on bringing your intensity up rather than worrying about what is coming next!

As you know I am diehard TF and TJ fan! I have toned and lost a lot of weight over the time that I have been doing them---but I LOVE kickboxing! My favourite TF is the 45 and 45Ez. I would caution though, I don't think anyone can do these workouts...if someone has bad knees or cannot jump they need to modify big time.

It's funny that you are writing about insoles. My TK insurance is finally in affect on Monday and I will be getting a reference to a podiatrist too. As you know, walking around all the time is a pretty big part of life in Germany and my feet now need the support.
