Nachos and Nostalgia

Today has been a great day. I got a lot of GOOD sleep last night; went to bed about 10:30, with my oldest daughter. Normally I go to bed at 1 or later! We slept well, and my husband apparently slept on the couch, LOL. No sympathy, means I rested well.
This afternoon, I took the girls skating! We went to an old rink that I grew up at, just a mile or two from my house. It was so much fun, the place hasn't changed a BIT. It changed ownership recently, and the new owners are committed to really bringing it back.
I'm proud of myself; I skated for probably half of the 3 hours we were there. I'm definitely feeling it! I have to be careful, since that ankle acts up, and the traditional counter-clockwise spin on the rink places a lot of strain on my right ankle. I feel like I got a great workout, though, and I'd like to do it more often. To be honest, it's a great workout, and the kids love it. I wish I could get my husband to do it with me. He's never been a good skater, and he's not a physical sort. Maybe next time I'm going to beg him. ;)
I did indulge in some nachos while I was there, but hey, after skating for an hour and a half? No biggie. :)
I do want to get my own skates. Right now it's not an option, but maybe for my birthday, if we start going regularly.
